Since the 140-voiced Outer Cape Chorale is one of my favorite groups, right up there with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, I was at Nauset Middle School's auditorium yesterday. Stephen Sondheim is not my favorite anything ... trite lyrics, first-grader rhymes, uninteresting stories, and, though he's admired by other composers, his music -- with one exception: "Send in the Clowns" -- bore me. Still the Chorale, if not the program, was marvelous.
