I have read In the Prison of Her Skin now, though I should be studying for exams. She has that introverted look at the things around her that likens her to Welch's style. Her heightened sense of the small things around her and her feelings. I enjoy her, and look forward to taking some time to get to know her.
Hi Simon - That hadn't occurred to me but I really like likening her to Welch. Maximum introversion! And thanks again for your comments and hope you ace your exams! - Geo
Thanks George! I have aquired 'Ravages' now. I will have a go at reading 'La Batarde' after exams I think. I hope you are enjoying your trip, i am off the Germany the instant exams are over. Australia is so isolated. Also, thanks for the introduction to Alan Bennett, I had only heard about him, now I have 'Untold Stories' and think it to be an excellent travel book.
Hi Simon - Have a great time in Germany! I spent 2-1/2 years there as a soldier. Where is your home? We should probably take this over to email fitzmar@aol.com. Once posts age I sometimes miss comments on them for some time.
I have bought In the Prison of Her Skin, and Mad in Pursuit, and now La Batarde, since reading your blog, Thanks!
